Race Day weather update for 8:00 a.m. ~ 28 degrees with a 60% of snow. Could be slick out there, so be ready, be slow, be safe.
Could be our warmest Turkey Trot ever!
According to WeatherUnderground, race time (8:00 a.m.) temperature will be 37 degrees with a 33% chance of snow. How fun could that be?! Warm temps with some fun snow!
And… can you say Cinnamon Rolls for the finishers! Yummy!
Orange City Turkey Trot’s purpose is to mark the Thanksgiving Holiday with joyful community through a 5K fun run / walk. While we offer a true 5K course and keep runner times, the emphasis is on a fun experience for all ages that will raise awareness and resources for mission. The 2015 ministry partner is ATLAS of Orange City.

We’re using Trinity Church’s signup page for registration this year, which will allow us to give a greater percentage to ATLAS. After you register, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

We are less than 7 months away from the 2015 Turkey Trot! Our team just started the engines of moving towards that date. Here are are some advance things to know….
First, a time change: We’re moving the start time to 8:00 a.m., so people get a little more sleep and our out-of-town runners have a little extra time to get here.
Second, look for a 2015 logo to show up in the next few weeks.
Third, our local mission this year will be ATLAS of Orange City Area.
Fourth, look for the first registration information in the Tulip Festival Kiwanis Road Race (May 16 in Orange City) registration packets. By then, we hope to have registration up and running. As in previous years, early bird discounts apply.
Now it’s time for some fun pics! But first, THANK YOU for registering and supporting The Bridge! Becky and Charlotte were present to represent the ministry and gave a big Thank You to all of you.
And don’t forget to celebrate the overall winners: David Bohlken of Omaha won the men’s division with a time of 18:03, and Sonya Jongsma-Knauss of Sioux Center won the women’s division with a time of 20:58. Congratulations!

We’re getting excited for tomorrow! While online registration is closed, new registrants are welcome. To register, simply come to the packet pickup Wednesday, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., or Thursday, 6:30-7:00 a.m. Packet Pickup is at Trinity Reformed Church, 201 St. Paul Ave SE.

Wednesday: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. – Registration Packet Pickup at Trinity. 6:30 p.m. – Thanksgiving Eve Worship at Trinity.

A number of local churches also have Thanksgiving morning worship services.
11:30 Community Meal at Living Water Community Church
On race morning, please use the south entrance and avoid parking directly next to the main entrance as this will be the race finish area.
RESTROOMS, WATER & FOOD
Restrooms will be available in the church beginning at 6:30 am
Prerace water is available in the church lobby water fountains.
Post race food and drink will be available for runners and walkers only
CLOTHING & NUMBERS
Race number must be visible on the front of clothing at all times during race to be included in results.
There will not be a clothing check-in, please store extra clothing in your car. You may leave items in the church or parking lot, but items will not be secured.
FINISH & TIMING
The race finishes near the front door of Trinity.
Stay in order in the finish chute as your bib number is recorded.
Results will be available as close to 8:30 as possible and posted on the website later in the day.

Men and Women individual winners and age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
